No food, barely any water, and scorching heat, the three of us followed the directions given to us by the locals. Directions that would get us closer to our destination...or not. In this last episode of our series, we get lost, find our way, and take a small boat ride that saves us from taking an even longer detour! Also, watch Heena cry about how kind the world is.
"“The single story creates stereotypes, and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story.” - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Storyteller In Part 2 of 'hello' Project, we delve into a narrative that looks at how we perceive strangers, and how conversations can help break pre-conceived notions. We are forever warned to be cautious of the unknown, but when we do come out of our bubble of comfort, and fear, we often realise that there is more to the story. We asked ourselves to break these imagined limitations that we had put on ourselves, and in the process got to know this wonderful, vibrant and chatty pandit ji in Harihareshwar. What are some of your travel stories that made you re-think your pre-conceived notions? Tell us in the comments section."
Carrying our tent, cooking our meals, asking people for lifts, walking for hours to reach our destination...Just a few days into our journey, and we had found comfort in being on the road.
"The idea was quite accidental, but this transition into a whole project was probably not something we had planned. The reactions we got from our peers, when we mentioned our hitchhiking trip, stirred questions, doubts, and quite frankly some amount of anger. Afraid of the unknown, they feared safety and suggested we take along a male friend to accompany us, which infuriated us further. Why does traveling have a sub-category of gender? We love our male friends, don’t get us wrong, but why are we being coaxed into changing our course of action plainly based on assumptions? Travelling and exploring remains the most common thread amongst the three of us, and keeping that thread alive, raw, and undisturbed, we come to you with The ‘hello’ Project. Conversations with strangers, anecdotes with coastal folks, and some sweet campsites along the way, we’re three girls who are experiencing the Konkan Coast with just a ‘hello’."

Shelter - one of mankind's most basic physiological needs. At least that's what it started out as at the beginning of time. From dwelling in caves to carving out temples in mountains, mankind has redefined shelter with every passing era. Though the underlying philosophy of any monument is to serve some sort of function, great architecture is fuelled by imagination. India's architecture is built on that very imagination and is a fascinating fusion of both art and science. From strategically placed astronomy towers to impressive and awe-inspiring tombs, Indian architecture has pushed the limits of engineering and design. Sanrachna explores these architectural wonders and how the makers of these marvels made them without the aid of modern mechanics and machinery. With an immensely astute sense of engineering, the architects were able to construct fortresses that have stood the test of time, unshaken by its changes. Join our host Vaibhavi as she travels through the country discovering the fascinating stories behind India's outstanding monuments and its architecture. Sanrachna will leave you in awe of the past and its ability to do what we can't, even with our modern tools and fancy tricks.
