Yashwant Rao is proud of being the hanging ropes maker the ones used to hang inmates facing death sentences. Renowned for his precision for making ropes that give quick and clean deaths, Rao considers himself a god who makes criminals face their guilt. He gets an opportunity to hang a criminal whose name is Ali Afzal. On the Dday, Rao tells Afzal he will have to face god for his deeds. Afzal confidently says that his god is in his heart and its Rao who needs to answer to the almighty. The hanging doesnt go well, taking longer than usual. Rao disturbed by the incident and later visits Afzals sister to give her his final letter. He passes judgement on Afzals character but gets interrupted by the sister who hints at Afzals innocence. Rao becomes disillusioned by the justice system and realizes his masterful skills were used to hang innocents.He teaches Makarand the art of making hanging ropes but not before making a final one that he uses to kill himself.
